רוֹקֵן
רוֹקֵן(denom. of רַיקָן; cmp. דַּאֲבָן denom. of דַּאֲבוֹנָא) to empty, drain. Lev. R. s. 24 (ref. to להצילך, Deut. 23:15) לרוֹקֵן כל נכסיוכ׳ to drain all the stores of the nations and give them to thee.V. רִיקֵן. Nithpa. נִתְרוֹקֵן, נִיתְ׳ to be emptied, be transmitted. Gen. R. s. 84 (ref. to Gen. 37:24) נ׳ בורו של יעקב Jacobs well was emptied (his children were bare of virtues). Ned.X, 2 מת האב לא נִתְרוֹקְנָהוכ׳ with the fathers death his authority (to interfere with the daughters vows) does not go over to her husband; ib. 68b; Tosef. ib. VI, 2, sq. Sifré Num. 153 שאין הרשות מִתְרוֹקֶנֶתוכ׳ to whom the fathers authority cannot be transferred; Yalk. ib. 785.
